Discover the traditional Japanese art of pottery painting at Mitsuhashi Touho, a historic Kyoto shop known for exquisite craftsmanship. In this 1–1.5 hour hands-on workshop, choose your favorite matcha bowl, plate, or decorative dish. Learn artisan techniques, from brushstrokes to applying vivid mineral-based paints, and create a design inspired by seasonal motifs or your imagination. After the workshop, your piece will be glazed and fired, ready the next day as a functional work of art ー a lasting reminder of your time in Kyoto. Care instructions: • Wash with mild detergent using a soft sponge. • Avoid prolonged microwave use. • Do not use over flame, in an oven, or dishwasher. • Thickly applied paint may peel.
