- Miyama Town, where Miyama Kayabuki-no-Sato is located, is a peaceful natural town about 90 minutes by car from the city center of Kyoto.
- In 1993, the town was selected as a national Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in recognition of its well-preserved historical landscape, including buildings built using traditional techniques.
- The town attracts many tourists throughout the year as a place where one can encounter the original landscape of Japan.
- Kyoto has many famous temples, and while the area is of course fascinating, spending a day in Kyoto while enjoying the traditional Japanese scenery with your eyes will allow you to fully enjoy the time that passes by slowly.
