- What to expect
-
According to the Kuzuren Zakki, in the section on Ninoshuku Jinfukuji Temple, there are "a main hall with a eleven-faced Kannon, a stone for sitting meditation by En no Gyoja, Zenjo-ke Pond, Koso Hall, and a mound by the side of the hall. There is a mound on the side of the temple. It is the second location of the Myohojin. This area was requisitioned by the government as a military site during the Meiji period (1868-1912), and the site remains as an abandoned temple to this day. A stone shrine made of Izumi sandstone stands on the site of the monks' cell, which is designated as the second sutra mound. Nearby is a small swamp that is said to be the site of Zenjo-ke Pond.
