**First stop: Uji, the city of history and desserts** The trip begins in Uji, a city full of history and culture. This is the most famous tea hometown in Japan and has many tea shops with a long history. There are many varieties of Uji tea, including sencha, bancha, genmaicha, and hojicha. The charming aroma of fresh hojicha wafts through the door of every tea shop.
