[Kyoto] Kyoto Yuzen Dyeing Art in a Traditional Tatami Room【OKADA】

At OKADA in Kyoto’s Higashiyama area, we share Japanese traditional culture through hands-on experiences in calligraphy, tea ceremony, and Yuzen dyeing. In this Yuzen dyeing workshop, you can try Kata-Yuzen, one of the traditional kimono-making techniques. Kata-Yuzen is a method in which special stencils are applied layer by layer to create a single intricate design. Participants will mix their favorite colors on a palette and apply them to the design, creating their very own original tenugui (Japanese hand towel).
