- What to expect
-
Based on the theme of "Kabuki that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, nationalities, and languages," this performance will provide a program that allows you to enjoy a variety of experiences in addition to watching the performance. In the lobby of Minami-za, props used in the performance, such as horses and boats, musical instruments that produce sound effects, and stage costumes, will be on display, and you will be able to touch and experience each of them. There will also be a workshop on "Tsukeuchi," an essential part of Kabuki. On stage, the Kabuki actors will give a humorous commentary, followed by a spectacular Kabuki performance. There are also plans for several audience members to participate in the commentary onstage. In addition, consecutive English interpretation and English audio guides will be available so that people from overseas can enjoy the performance.
