For a few weeks each year, Kyoto transforms into a landscape of brilliant red, orange, and golden foliage. This seasonal photography experience is designed to capture you against some of the city’s most beautiful autumn scenery. Kyoto’s autumn foliage typically appears from mid-November through early December, with many areas reaching peak colors around late November. However, foliage timing varies each year depending on weather conditions, elevation, and location. Depending on the timing of your visit and current foliage conditions, we’ll choose locations where the autumn colors are looking their best. Kyoto’s fall foliage changes throughout the season, so the ideal shooting location can vary depending on when you visit.
