[Gion Maruyama] is a well-known old restaurant in the Gion area. It was founded in 1988 and is also a 2 MICHELIN Stars restaurant. The owner, Mr. Yoshio Maruyama, used to be in the well-known restaurant [Kodaiji Doi] and [Kiyamachi Kikunoi] (currently Roan Kikunoi), and also served as the head chef at [Kodaiji Wakuden]. There is also another sister store with the same name at Kenninji Temple that was established 10 years ago.
