Enjoy an authentic teahouse culture experience in Gion. Take the opportunity to experience a matcha green tea and watch up close a live performance of a traditional dance by maiko or geiko accompanied by authentic shamisen music in a teahouse at the heart of Gion, a district rarely accessible to travelers. The new teahouse, completed in the autumn of 2024, is worth a visit for its design and great attention to materials. As the tour is limited to 10 people, customers can enjoy a leisurely conversation with the maiko or geiko and the teahouse owner about the district of Gion.
