- What to expect

Upon entering the Kyoto Sumo stable, you will find a large sumo ring set up inside, where shows are held daily in three parts. Part 1 is from 12:00-14:00, Part 2 is from 15:30-17:30, and Part 3 is from 19:00-21:00. You can enjoy the sumo show, which begins with a performance by a geisha, while enjoying your meal. In the sumo show, former sumo wrestlers will demonstrate sumo techniques and matches, and guests will also have the opportunity to participate in challenge sumo with the wrestlers. The meal includes a "specially made soy sauce chanko nabe" supervised by a former sumo wrestler, featuring a light yet rich soup made with four types of dashi: local chicken, dried bonito flakes, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms. You can enjoy the nabe from start to finish. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available (please inquire at the time of booking).
