What to expect

Upon entering the Kyoto Sumo Stable, you will find a prominent sumo ring set up inside, where shows are held daily in three stages: Part 1 from 12:00 to 14:00, Part 2 from 15:30 to 17:30, and Part 3 from 19:00 to 21:00. While enjoying your meal, you can watch a sumo show that begins with a performance by geisha. The sumo show features former wrestlers demonstrating sumo techniques and matches, as well as opportunities for guests to participate in challenge sumo with the wrestlers. The meal includes a “Special Soy Sauce Chanko Nabe” supervised by a former wrestler, featuring a light yet rich broth made from four types of dashi: jidori chicken, bonito, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms. It is delicious from the beginning of the hot pot to the final dish. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available (please inquire when making a reservation).
