First, we will introduce the history of mochi pounding and the tea ceremony through a short video. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to experience mochi pounding yourself. We hope you will feel the weight of the tools used for mochi pounding. You can enjoy the freshly pounded mochi with your choice of four toppings: kinako (roasted soybean flour), chocolate, honey, or brown sugar syrup. Next, you will watch a short video about the etiquette of the tea ceremony, and our instructor will carefully and slowly guide each person in English. After the tea ceremony experience, you can actually hold a real samurai sword. For example, in a safe environment, you can even try swinging the sword. Finally, our staff will take a commemorative photo of everyone holding the mochi pounding tools and swords, free of charge. As you leave, we have prepared a small gift from our shop.
