Embark on a one-day trip to the Sea of Japan from Kyoto, combining magnificent seascapes, local delicacies, and railway charm. Along the way, pass by the Shirahige Shrine's torii gate, standing on the shores of Lake Biwa as if floating on water, and admire Japan's iconic lakeside scenery. Next, head to the Mikata Goko (Five Lakes of Mikata), renowned as one of "Japan's 100 Landscapes." Take the Rainbow Line cable car up to the mountaintop park, located at an altitude of approximately 400 meters, to take in the spectacular panoramic view of the five lakes intertwined with the azure Sea of Japan, and experience the natural beauty that changes with the seasons.
