What to expect

This historical cycling tour explores the mythological sites of Harima, including Niwata Shrine, said to be the birthplace of sake, and Iwa Shrine, while tracing the history of sake brewing as recorded in the Harima no Kuni Fudoki (records of Harima Province). The route primarily follows quiet backroads surrounded by fields, passing through hand-dug tunnels and beautiful rural scenery on comfortable electric bicycles. Along the way, in the Yamazaki sake brewery district, enjoy a fermented food lunch made with local ingredients, and tour a sake brewery to learn about the traditions of sake production.
