- What to expect
-
This is a 40-minute cruise experience around the Otaru Canal and port on a "reclaimed canal," which is very rare even in Japan. In order not to spoil the atmosphere of the historic Otaru Canal and the townscape, we use boats with a refined design and environmentally friendly electric boats and boats that use biodiesel. In the seal making experience, you will carve your name in seal script on a natural stone called Rohseki. Seal carving was introduced from the Song and Ming dynasties of China to the Edo period and became a huge boom among artists. You can experience making your own unique seal that is one of a kind in the world. Children can also experience it, and it makes a great souvenir. It can be enjoyed for a wide range of purposes, such as pressing it on works of art such as calligraphy and paintings, or on letters. It is an experience that allows you to feel the Otaru downtown and lifestyle up close.
