- Mikuni Pass is the highest mountain pass (1,139m above sea level) among the national highways in Hokkaido.
- In the summer, the area is filled with deep greenery, and in the fall, the scenery of autumn leaves is spectacular. The view of Matsumi Ohashi Bridge, which appears to be floating in the forest, is breathtakingly beautiful.
