[Asahikawa Zoo] The Asahiyama Zoo is located in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, and is the northernmost zoo in Japan. It is now one of the most visited zoos in Japan. Visiting the Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido on a snowy day is a special treat. Cute penguins walk together in the snow, raccoons climb over your head and make faces, curious seals shuttle up and down in glass columns to play and surround you, and monkey groups cuddle together to keep warm. [Unique 'Lonely' Christmas Tree] The 'Lonely Christmas Tree' in Biei Town is one of the most famous check-in spots in Hokkaido. It is a spruce tree isolated in the field, named for its resemblance to a Christmas tree. [Shirahige Falls] Named 'Shirahige Falls' because of the white beard-like streams of water that pour down from the gaps in the rocks. [Ninguru Terrace] It is a forest handicraft experience workshop built with inspiration from a character in the novel by Japanese writer Sou Kuramoto (to be precise, a small elf about 15 cm tall living in the big forest).
