The route is 37.2km long and has a maximum elevation difference of 1,975m. Almost the entire route is within the Chubu Sangaku National Park. You can easily enjoy the magnificent nature of Tateyama Kurobe, which spreads above the clouds, by taking a train from Tateyama Station in Tateyama Town on the Toyama side to Ogizawa Station in Omachi City on the Nagano side, passing through many scenic spots. In spring, you can freely stroll through Snow Valley (about 500m) in Murodo. The height of the walls varies depending on the amount of snowfall. In autumn, you can enjoy an aerial stroll on a vast carpet of autumn leaves from the Tateyama Ropeway that connects Daikanbo and Kurobedaira.
