Kawachi Wisteria Garden is a private garden located in Kitakyushu city in Fukuoka prefecture, owning over 20 kinds of wisterias in a 10,000 square meters area. It is only open to the public during the wisteria season, which lasts from late April to early May, and the maple leaf season in autumn. Then, visit Kokura Castle, which is built in 1602 at the beginning of the Edo Period. The castle was destroyed by fire in 1866, and the current castle tower was built in 1959 using ferroconcrete. The historical architecture of the castle creates an interesting visual contrast to the nearby modern shopping and entertainment district. Finally, go shopping at The Outlets Kitakyushu, one of the largest shopping malls in the Kyushu area, with over 140 outlet stores and 170 selected shops. Delight your taste buds with Fukuoka and Kitakyushu delicacies.
