The first stop in Takayama is Hida Kokubunji Temple. It is the only three-storied pagoda in Hida area. You can also see a 1,250-year-old great ginkgo tree on the temple ground. Besides, you can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, and the traditional product of Takayama in Miyagawa Asaichi, one of the most famous morning markets in Japan.
