活動概要
  • — A Homestyle Cultural Workshop in Historic Yanaka —
  • Create delicate wagashi (Japanese sweets), learn to brew artisan teas, and feel the warm heart of Tokyo’s Yanaka neighborhood.
  • You will make Wagashi for 45 mins(one wagashi, two for 60 minutes), set the table, and enjoy them with tea tasting, home-style!
  • It is considered a high-class Japanese sweet called Jo-Nama-Gashi(Jo means Upper or high class, and Name means freshly made) and served at tea ceremonies and ceremonial occasions. Nerikiri is most well-known for its beautiful presentation, which might include scenery, flowers, and lucky motifs with a delicate taste. We teach you the basics, and try making your Nerikiri with your imagination!
  • We will serve three essential and popular everyday teas(Sencha, Genmaicha, and Hojicha) for you based on how we serve them at home! Knowing how we enjoy teas at home is a casual but insightful experience. We will show you how to serve the tea, the difference, and the suitable TPO for each tea.
