This is a popular Japanese cultural calligraphy experience, especially among children. Calligraphy not only helps improve handwriting but also builds good posture and concentration. You’ll learn how to hold the brush, sit with the correct posture, prepare the ink, and write kanji characters with a brush. At the end, you can choose your favorite item — such as a shikishi board, uchiwa fan, folding fan, daruma doll, wind chime, or hanging scroll — to decorate with your calligraphy and take home as a souvenir. The item is included in the experience fee.
