Kusatsu Onsen is one of Japan's three most famous hot springs. It boasts the largest natural spring water output in Japan, with over 32,300 liters of hot spring water gushing out every minute. In the center of the hot spring town is the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen, the Yubatake, from which 4,000 liters of hot spring water gushes out every minute, always sending up steam. After a bath, you can enjoy a stroll around the Yubatake, which features walkways covered with tiles, the Shiraneyama Bench modeled after Mt. Shirane, and stone fences.
