Your tour begins at Tokyo Station, where you’ll meet your tour conductor and board a reserved-seat Joetsu Shinkansen (Toki, Tanigawa, or Asama). The train will depart between 7:30 and 8:30 AM, heading toward Takasaki Station. After approximately one hour on the Shinkansen, you’ll arrive to a gateway to the mountainous landscapes of Niigata. Here, you’ll transfer to a local bus that will take you deeper into nature, toward the base of the Tashiro Ropeway.
