  • Mt. Fuji in Japan is an active volcano about 100 kilometers southwest of Tokyo. Commonly called “Fuji-san,” it’s the country’s tallest peak, at 3,776 meters. It has been an object of worship since ancient times, and has had a large influence on the way that Japanese people view nature.
