From modern art to prehistoric civilization, and then to ancient historical cities—this boutique small group tour takes you on a one-day journey through Aomori's cultural heritage. The first stop in the morning is the Aomori Museum of Art, whose architecture is inspired by the excavation site of the Sannai-Maruyama Site. Its pure white, minimalist geometric lines are particularly striking in the winter snow. Inside, you can admire Yoshitomo Nara's iconic 8.5-meter-tall sculpture "Aomori-ken" and four monumental stage backdrops created by Chagall for the ballet "Aleko." Afterwards, move to the Sannai-Maruyama Site, a World Heritage site just a 5-minute drive away. This is the largest Jomon period settlement ruin in Japan, where pit dwellings and giant pillar-supported buildings have been restored, allowing you to experience the wisdom of living in harmony with nature of the ancestors from approximately 4,000 years ago. At noon, head to Hirosaki Castle in the Tsugaru region for about 3.5 hours of free activity—
