• ＜Overview＞
• The Michinoku Shiokaze Trail, one of the best hiking trails in northern Japan, was developed for the purpose of reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake and to pass on the traditions of the area.
• This tour is an island tour course where you will cross small islands, which are the highlight of the trail course, by boat and walk through them. You can enjoy a relaxing island life and a magnificent view by visiting the Urato Islands, which consist of many islands in Matsushima Bay, one of the three most scenic sight in Japan.
• How did the tsunami disaster destroy human society, how did people recover from it, and why do people continue to live there? We invite you to experience the power of human beings to rise from the disaster and the beauty of nature that remains unchanged.

A shuttle will take you to Marine Gate Shiogama, where the tour starts. There, you will purchase lunch on your own and take a liner to the first island, Katsurajima. Upon arrival at the island, you will enjoy a 4-km hike with a guide.
