• On this tour, you'll be able to see, hear, and taste the culture of Kyoto at some especially exciting spots. We will explore the three major areas of Kyoto: Kitayama, Higashiyama, and Gion. It was build by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu in 1397 during the Muromachi period. The Kinkaku, or Golden Pavilion, is an iconic Zen Buddhist temple. Its top two floors are covered in gold-leaf, shimmering in the midst of a beautiful garden and reflecting pond. Its historical significance and cultural beauty has made it a globally recognized symbol of Japan.
