- Takamatsu City might be an important economic center on the island of Shikoku, yet in between the corporate gearwork that keeps Kagawa Prefecture running is an array of cultural, artistic, and traditional expression. This three-day-tour will bring visitors along these avant-garde currents full of unexpected cultural exploration and discovery. This will include taking part in traditional arts that have been preserved by the few masters that continue to hold on to traditional knowledge as well as sampling the richness that only the farms of Japan’s smallest prefecture can offer. This tour will also ferry visitors across the rolling blue vastness of the Setō Inland Sea to islands rich in artistic endeavor that not only challenge what art can be but also showcase the transformative power art commands in the region. This tour will also bring visitors face to face with temples and pilgrimage paths that have been untouched by time yet are always awaiting new faces.
