Award, this fan blends tradition with modern life. Created as a
stylish, portable summer item, it features a unique circular shape and
three types of hand-selected rattan.
You’ll learn kazari-ami (decorative weaving) and maki
(wrapping)—techniques once reserved for luxury goods. The fan’s
surface uses Naoron, a strong, lightweight paper that incorporates
Hosokawa-shi, a celebrated type of Ogawa washi recognized by UNESCO. This traditional papermaking adds both cultural depth and sustainable beauty.
