- Located 1700 metres above sea level, Hotel Japan Shiga is situated within Shiga Kogen in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, 100 metres from Shiga Kogen Ski Resort’s Ichinose Family Ski Area where guests can enjoy skiing in winter and trekking in summer. - Hotel Japan Shiga is located just steps away from a bus stop bound for Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park. It is a 35-minute drive or bus ride from Yudanaka Train Station, which is a 45-minute train ride from JR Nagano Station. There is a direct bus available from Nagano Station to the Shiga Kogen area. There are a convenience store and restaurants in the surrounding area, open during the winter seasons.
