Claude Monet (1840–1926), born in Paris, France, is one of the most celebrated painters of the Impressionist movement. Capturing the ever-changing landscapes and moments in time, Monet used soft, delicate colors to bring his canvases to life. Over his lifetime, he created an extraordinary body of work, driven by his deep love for nature and his ability to keenly observe light’s transformations. Monet once expressed his desire to "paint as freely as birds sing." This exhibition takes visitors on a journey through Monet’s life and the places he visited, immerse in the scenes he saw, the time he spent with family and friends, and his final years in Giverny, where he lived and created his iconic works. Accompanied by music, the exhibition begins with Monet's masterpiece Impression, Sunrise, first exhibited at the group show of 1874. This independent exhibition, held by Monet and his peers after breaking away from the official Salon, is where the term "Impressionism" originated—initially used mockingly by a criti
