• The Koto Fireworks Festival has a rich history dating back to the 19th century, originally held to celebrate the harvest and ward off evil spirits. Over time, it has become a major summer event in the Tokyo area.
• In 2025, the festival will take place at Arakawa Sunamachi Riverside Park, where the launch site and seating are conveniently close for an up-close view of the fireworks. Approximately 6,000 star mines will be launched from barges on the Arakawa River, creating a spectacular display!
