Shimizu Port is one of Japan's three great ports. You can take a cruise to admire the magnificent scenery of Mount Fuji, a World Cultural Heritage site, up close. Kunozan Toshogu Shrine The main hall of Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, built in 1617, is a mausoleum dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu. By order of the second shogun, Tokugawa Hidetada, Tokugawa Yorinobu served as the chief supervisor, and Nakai Yamato-no-kami Masakiyo was appointed as the master carpenter. Construction of the main hall began in May 1616 and was completed in December 1617, in a surprisingly short period of just 1 year and 7 months. The main hall adopts the Gongen-zukuri style, with its entire body lacquered and brightly colored. It was completed 19 years earlier than Nikko Toshogu Shri
