- The Obihiro River, which is so rich in nature that it is hard to believe it is in the middle of a city, attracts many migratory birds such as whooper swans from Siberia and other regions in winter. Early in the morning, at the lower reaches of the river where the current is slower, you can observe a variety of birds gathering gracefully along with the magnificent scenery.
- Also, when the temperature is low, you can see the phenomenon called “fog and ice,” in which river water vapor adhering to tree branches freezes. It is so beautiful that it can be called a work of art created by the dignified and severe nature.
