- Overview
-
- Senzu Hanten is a Chinese auberge in Izu that serves healthy Chinese cuisine.
- Blessed with ingredients from the mountains and the sea, this inn has been serving Chinese cuisine for nearly 30 years.
- We use ingredients from Izu and do not use chemical seasonings or additives that are said to be bad for the body.
- We use organic safflower oil, domestic sesame oil, and peanut oil that are pressed and have zero cholesterol and are non-GMO.
- The food at Senzu Hanten is surprisingly not oily and does not make you feel heavy in the stomach.
- From the appetizers, we use plenty of local Izu vegetables, such as radish mochi and bang bang chicken with black sesame sauce from Sichuan cuisine.
- The most popular dish among repeat customers is the Sichuan mapo tofu with three-year aged doubanjiang, which is not too spicy.
- At the end of the course, we offer three original Chinese sweets.
- We also accept additional orders for Ise lobster steamed with garlic and steamed red snapper, which are unique to Izu! Breakfast starts with a Cantonese-style Chinese porridge made with a secret chicken soup base and the delicious flavors of dried scallops and dried shrimp, followed by about eight other dishes, including fresh local vegetables steamed in a bamboo steamer and various dim sum dishes.
- We offer Izu Chinese course meals suited to Japanese tastes for dinner and breakfast on a one-night stay, two-meal plan.
