Aoyama Square

Aoyama Square
Japan. Tax-Free Shop

This is the only store in all of Japan that collects traditional crafts from across the nation all under one roof.

Managed by the Association for the Promotion of Traditional Craft Industries (a general foundation), this facility collects together approximately 3,500 different items of traditional crafts from across the nation, including textile fabric, dyed products, pottery, and Japanese papers. In addition to the permanent display of products, which occasionally features a change in pieces, there are also a special exhibit changing every two weeks and a crafting masters’ corner changing every week, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy demonstrations, workshops, and more.
