Experience the very best of Japanese culture in Ginza 4-chome and enjoy traditional Japanese kimono fashion, calligraphy, quick-draw swordsmanship, and tea ceremony held in an authentic tea room and dojo.
Located at Ginza 4-Chome, HiSUi TOKYO is a Japanese culture “multi-art” school where you can pick your favorite from a selection of full-day hands-on courses: traditional Japanese kimono fashion, calligraphy, quick-draw swordsmanship, or tea ceremony. Here in Japan’s capital, the swordsmanship class is particularly rare and commands considerable popularity among both Japanese and overseas visitors. After you learn the posture and work on your swing with a practice sword, you’ll have a chance to use a real sword to try and strike an “enemy target” straw post.
HiSUi puts effort into offering something so much more than simply dress-up for fun: they give you a chance to take in the feeling and atmosphere of Japanese culture while you learn about the spirit, history, and philosophy of Japan’s ancient samurai families. Many visitors also enjoy taking photos in the authentic dojo (training hall) and tea room following their workshops.
For those currently living in Japan, there are also lessons available on a monthly fee system. The school aims to have students develop their sensitivity and bring elegance to their everyday lives through study under the careful and considerate tutelage of instructors who are versed in the whole of the school’s curriculum. Beginners daunted by the world of Japanese culture will find the atmosphere here relaxing and judgment-free. Those who’d like a tour of the center are welcome at any time, so please feel free to drop by.
