A certified Tokyo traditional craftsman, Mr. Mukouyama is known in Japan for his appearances as the Japanese musical instrument appraiser on Japan’s antique appraisal TV show. He crafts parts for traditional Japanese instruments, including koto, shamisen, shakuhachi, shinobue, sanshin, taiko drums, and taishogoto.
