Flowers around Tokyo
The cherry blossom wave is fading in popular spots throughout central Tokyo. If you will be visiting this week, you can still find cherry blossoms in parks such as Shinjuku Gyoen and Ueno Park, near Shinobazu Pond. Check the link below for other places where you can catch the last of the sakura wave.
Tulips are now in season. This weekend, we headed out east of Tokyo to Sakura to see the annual tulip festival there.
Azaleas are also in season right now, and Nezu Shrine in Tokyo is one of the most popular destinations to see them. In addition to seeing the beautiful bushes of brightly colored flowers, you can also enjoy a beautiful stroll through a series of torii gates. If you don't have the chance to visit the famous torii gates at Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine, this is the perfect substitute right in Tokyo!
