Colombin’s founder Kuniteru Kadokura, used genuine French sweet making techniques to introduce authentic western sweets to Japan, establishing the shop’s reputation as a historic sweet producer.

In 1931, Colombin opened a salon in Ginza’s sixth district that had a ceiling decorated with a painting by master painter Tsuguharu Fujita, and the salon was visited by many important literary figures. It even makes an appearance in Junichiro Tanizaki’s novel “The Makioka Sisters”.

Today, it is said that shortcake, a cake seen in Japan as the representative western cake, was devised based on Kuniteru Kadokura’s knowledge, experience, and the techniques he learnt in France.

We have an apiary on the roof of our Harajuku store, and we use the home-made honey produced by this in our “Harajuku Honey Pudding”. We also have a range of other sweets that will get people talking, including “Harajuku baked Chocolat”, a popular gift to take home from Tokyo; “Harajuku Roll”, a cake roll filled to the brim with fresh cream; the enduringly popular lightly-baked cookies “Merveille”; and our cookie selection “Four Sec”.

From e-liquid to devices, accessories, and more, we produce our own line of vape-related items, which are sold at our Harajuku branch to increase recognition of vape culture and vapor products in Japan.
Inside our store, customers can try vaping while relaxing at the vape counter, try out the RBA coil rebuilding workshop booth, and enjoy vaping in the relaxation space which has a café-style atmosphere. Recently we’ve been seeing a large number of international tourists in our shop, so we hope you’ll stop by.

This store located in Harajuku overflows with a Japanese ambiance with its external appearance of a Shinto shrine and offers Japanese crafts, traditional Japanese items, antiques and more. It sells a wide range of products from keyrings of kimono-clad popular characters to antique Japanese furniture. In the basement are souvenir products, kimono garments, and T-shirts; on the first floor are tableware and traditional Japanese items; and on the second floor are products such as second-hand kimono, Japanese furniture, used goods, and traditional crafts displayed by product in each section. Not only souvenirs but a diverse range of goods such as rare one-of-a-kind antiques, armors, folding screens, and imari Japanese porcelain are also for sale. All products can be shipped overseas, and there are English-speaking staff members on every floor. It is a five-minute walk from the Omotesando Station on the Tokyo Metro Lines or also a five-minute walk from the JR Harajuku Station.
