It is located in Tokorozawa City in Saitama. You can deepen your relationship to nature and experience its importance in the vast, 35-square-kilometer Sayama Hills stretching across Saitama and Tokyo. The facility is divided into five themed areas including Waterfowl Paradise, Hygrophyte Village, and Insect Forest. With about 210 different bird species and 1,000 distinct species of plants and insects, you are sure to encounter interesting wildlife. Facilities include an exhibition room, observation balcony, and lecture rooms as well as a charcoal kiln outside. Nature-observation classes for seasonal animals, plants, and stars and seminars on satoyama traditional agricultural experience are held regularly. It is a 15-minute walk from the Seibu Sayama Line's Shimo-yamaguchi Station.
