A special tour where guests are guided by the head of a family-run oyster farming company established in the Edo period that has been in business for over 300 years to witness the oyster catch, visit an oyster raft, and enjoy oyster tasting. [07:00] Guests will meet at Shimada Suisan Pier before boarding an oyster fishing boat to watch fishermen bring in their catch. The 18th generation head of the company will give an explanation of oyster farming and the secret history behind the oyster brand "Aki no Ippan" which is bred at the production site. Next, guests can enjoy a private tour through the Hiroshima oyster rafts in the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea. [08:00] After returning to Shimada Suisan Pier, enjoy an oyster porridge and grilled oysters at an oyster house that's been in business for 15 years. The oyster hut, which started as a joke, is now a seasonal restaurant crowded with local customers. The soup stock for the porridge is a secret recipe from 300 years ago when the restaurant first opened
