Seeing cherry blossoms in Japan isn't limited just to April! Actually you can also catch these gorgeous flowers slightly earlier—from February to March—if you know where to go.
Just around an hour south of central Tokyo is the coastal town of Miurakaigan, where a special variety of these cherry trees, called kawazu-zakura, can be found.
The Keikyu Line, which provides access from Haneda Airport to the Tokyo and Yokohama areas, is holding a special present campaign for international visitors to Japan. Come see the beautiful kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms that bloom in the Miura area, bring home a special gift! It’s a perfect way to experience Japan and make a wonderful memory.

・Period: Tuesday, February 5, 2019 to Sunday, March 3, 2019
・During this time, international visitors to Japan who present either the campaign website, a campaign flyer, or a Misaki Maguro Day Trip Ticket special offer ticket set, which allows visitors to fully enjoy the Miura area, at a staffed counter or ticket window at Miurakaigan Station or Misakiguchi Station, will receive an original Keikyu item along with a cherry blossom-themed hand towel(*).

What are Kawazu-zakura?
Kawazu-zakura are a type of early-blooming cherry tree which bloom from February to March every year. Visitors can experience the quiet beauty of some 1,000 kawazu-zakura cherry blossom trees that blossom along the railway from Miurakaigan Station.
Conveniently located, the station is 63 minutes from Shinagawa Station, 73 minutes from Haneda Airport International Terminal Station, and 45 minutes from Yokohama Station.
Kawazu-zakura will be in bloom for at least 1 month along the Keikyu Line – be sure to check them out, and enjoy a relaxing day trip from Tokyo!
