Ishigaki Yaima Village, located on a hill overlooking Ishigaki Island's scenic Nagura Bay, is a theme park at the southernmost point of Japan that recreates the good old Yaeyama houses against the backdrop of abundant nature. Not only are the houses registered as national tangible cultural properties within the village, but there is also a buffalo pond, a crested eagle protection cage, a squirrel monkey garden, and a tour course to Nagura Amparu (mangrove forest), making it a very interesting place.
