In 2004, the Kumano Sanzan (Kumano Nachi Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, and Kumano Hongu Taisha) and the ancient pilgrimage routes between them were registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This sacred place reflects the culture of the combination of Shinto and Buddhist spirits for 1,200 years.
Nachi Falls (那智�) is a waterfall located on the Nachi River in Nachikatsuura Town, Higashimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. The waterfall is 133 meters high and 13 meters wide. It is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan, along with Kegon Falls and Fukuroda Falls.
