Description
Tea Ceremony Nagomi is located in Ninenzaka, a ten-minute walk from the World Heritage Site of Kiyomizudera in Kyoto.
After hearing an introduction about the history of tea and tea ceremony in Japan, the staff will demonstrate the art of tea ceremony, and you can try making tea and enjoy sweets in a harmonious atmosphere. At Nagomi, we use Kiyomizu ware tea cups; matcha from Gion Tsujiri, established more than 150 years ago; sweets from Tsuboneya Risshun, purveyors to Kiyomizudera; and pure natural water from Mt. Fuji to go with the tea. We are particular about all aspects of the tea ceremony, allowing you to enjoy an authentic experience.
Accessible five minutes on foot (east) from the Kyoto City Bus Kiyomizu-michi bus stop. Tea Ceremony Nagomi is on the second floor of Kanda Bamboo Workshop in Ninenzaka. Our staff can speak Japanese and English.
We also have chairs for the elderly or handicapped people.
There is a waiting room where you can meet at the venue.
