Description
Raku ware is a uniquely Japanese type of pottery, which originated 450 years ago for tea ceremony.
Raku ware was first created at the end of the 16th century to embody Sen no Rikyu's wabi-cha tradition, and is now an indispensable style of pottery. At Raku Studio Waraku, we work hard to convey information about raku ware, as well as producing and selling raku ware. If you're interested in raku ware, please come and visit.
For those who wish to purchase raku ware, we produce and sell a diverse range of items, such as black raku tea bowls, red raku tea bowls, as well as drinking vessels, teacups, raku plates, incense burners, incense containers and vases.
For those who wish for more information about raku ware, raku ware is a Japanese type of pottery. In recent years, it has developed overseas and become known in many countries as ”raku”. At our store, we have a variety of information about present-day raku ware, materials, tools, techniques, firing methods and preparation.
