Austere Japan KOROMO was born in Kyoto, an area rich in Japanese history and traditional culture. At Koromo, we try to find a guide into tomorrow by taking lessons from the past.
Kyoto boasts an extraordinary variety of fashion and clothing trends, from aozome indigo dyeing--the painstaking Japanese dyeing process from which we get Japan Blue--to 'boro' Japanese clothing that is patched and mended, providing a pure expression of Japanese virtue, and vividly colored Kyo-yuzen dyed kimono which are popular the world over.
