Description

Yasuda Nenju was established in 1683 as a maker of prayer beads in Teramachi Rokkaku, Kyoto. In 1590, Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi united Japan under his rule and ordered restoration around the Kamo River, which included the relocation of many temples and led to the foundation of a temple town now referred to as Teramachi (Temple Town). The Seiganji temple located opposite Yasuda Nenju was very popular and drew many visitors. We began as a store selling prayer beads to these temple visitors. Even now, we are still selling prayer beads at this exact location. Come and have a look at our speciality products.
