Description

Entokuin Temple is a sub-temple of Kodai-ji Temple and is nicknamed “Nene’s temple”. After Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s death, his legal wife, Nene, lived here for her remaining 19 years. The palace garden from Fushimi Castle is reflected in the splendid stone garden arrangement of the North Garden. This shrine is home to the “Sansuizu Fusuma” painted by Touhaku Hasegawa.
